What is meant by the remembrance of Allah (dhikr Allah) in the Hadith: "Shall I not inform you of the best of your deeds...? They said, 'Yes, O Messenger of Allah.' He said, 'The remembrance of Allah'"? And does it include the Qur'an and dhikr, or only dhikr?

The hadith is authentic, and its meaning includes all types of remembrance of Allah (dhikr), such as reciting the Quran, saying "La ilaha illallah" (there is no god but Allah), "Subhanallah" (glory be to Allah), and "Allahu Akbar" (Allah is the greatest). Scholars have differed regarding the absolute superiority of the dhikr mentioned in the hadith. Some are of the view that the superiority depends on the person's state and what suits them, while others hold that the hadith applies absolutely, but with the condition that the dhikr is performed with both the tongue and the heart, along with contemplating the greatness of Allah.
