Why does Allah favor some people over others in sustenance, even though He is the Just, and why does He not answer the supplication of the questioner, depriving her of success, beauty, and wealth, while providing for those around her?

The intelligent person is he who perseveres in this world to attain goodness in the Hereafter. The threat of atheism harms only its proponent, for "Whoever is guided is only guided for [the benefit of] his soul; and whoever errs only errs against it." A Muslim should reflect upon the verses that call for patience with believers and caution against inclining towards the adornments of this worldly life, and warn against the consequences of disbelief.

As for the disparity in provisions among people, it does not contradict Allah's justice; rather, it is essential for the continuation of life. Provision is not limited to money; it includes health, security, family, and other blessings. One should look to those beneath him in worldly matters to thank Allah for His blessings upon him, and not look to those above him so as not to disparage Allah's blessings.
