Is it permissible to perform tayammum for one who fears severe cold and needs a long time to heat water due to the unavailability of firewood, whether he wakes up at the beginning of the prayer time or late before going out?

The issue of prayer for one who lacks ritual purity is divided into two parts:

First: One for whom the time for prayer has begun, but who lacks the condition of purity with water and fears the time will expire if he seeks it. Such a person prays with tayammum, whether at the beginning or end of the prayer time, for Allah Almighty says: ﴿Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a book [to be observed at] fixed times.﴾

Second: One who wakes up at the end of the prayer time and has sufficient water. Such a person must perform ritual purification with water, and missing the prayer time does not harm him because he was asleep, and the prayer time for him begins when he wakes up.

Based on this: - One who is awake at prayer time and far from water, such that the time would expire if he were to obtain it, should pray with tayammum. - One who finds difficulty in using water due to extreme cold or inability to heat it, and fears the time will expire, should pray with tayammum. - A menstruating woman whose bleeding stops during the prayer time but who cannot perform the ritual bath (ghusl) until after the time expires, should perform tayammum and pray within the time. - One who believes that praying after the time with water is better than praying within the time with tayammum is misguided and ignorant. - As for the sleeper who wakes up at the very end of the Fajr prayer time, such that the sun would rise if he were to perform ghusl, the majority of scholars hold that he should perform ghusl and pray after sunrise, because the prayer time for him begins from the moment he wakes up. - It is not permissible to delay prayer from its appointed time under any circumstances to fulfill one of its conditions. If one fears the time will expire, he should pray according to his current state.
