What is the Salafi position on the Four Schools of Thought, what is the difference between them, are the followers of the Four Schools of Thought considered Salafis, and who are the righteous predecessors by name and history?

Salafiyyah is the following of the righteous predecessors (Salaf as-Salih) from among the Companions, the Tabi’in, and those who followed them in righteousness. They are the saved group (Al-Firqat An-Najiyah). Mere affiliation with the name "Salafiyyah" is not sufficient; rather, the criterion is conformity with the Qur’an and Sunnah (definition). The four Madhahib (schools of thought) are Sunni Salafi schools because their imams were upon the methodology of truth, and one who affiliates with them is considered a Salafi if their belief aligns and they do not deviate. Salafis cannot be exclusively defined, nor is it correct to ask about the position of Salafiyyah on the four Madhahib, because the imams of the Madhahib are themselves from the Salaf. A group is judged by its adherence to or deviation from the methodology of the righteous predecessors in foundational principles (Usul) and beliefs (Aqa'id). Disagreement in major, fundamental issues is what causes disunity.
