It is not permissible for a man to say to a woman who is a stranger to him, "I love you for the sake of Allah," or to joke with her, as this may lead to temptation that could cause the heart to become attached. As for his effort to marry her to a righteous man, there is no harm in that, but it is not permissible for him to know her physical characteristics except within the framework of the lawful engagement, and he must use righteous women as intermediaries for this purpose. The woman must cut off her relationship with this man, seek forgiveness, and repent for her leniency in communicating with him and for revealing her characteristics to a non-mahram. Caution must be exercised regarding the temptation of women.
