Is it permissible to bury a child with a woman in one grave?

Burying more than one deceased person in a single grave—especially if one of them is a child—is a matter of scholarly disagreement. One group of scholars holds that it is disliked (makruh), while others have prohibited it unless there is a necessity that calls for it.
