Is the statement that torment will cease and Hellfire will perish a corrupt belief that leads its holder to Hell for contradicting the definitive texts of the Qur’an and Sunnah?

The People of Sunnah and the Community have unanimously agreed that Paradise and Hell are eternal, neither perishing nor vanishing. They have based their argument on definitive texts from the Holy Quran and the Prophetic Sunnah, where verses mention the eternal dwelling of disbelievers in Hell and that their torment will not cease, and the eternal dwelling of believers in Paradise and that their bliss is everlasting and unfailing. Furthermore, it is stated in the noble Hadith that death will be slaughtered on the Day of Resurrection, and eternal life will be announced for the people of Paradise and Hell. All sects of the Muslim nation have agreed upon this, except for Jahm ibn Safwan.
