The answer

Reciting the Quran in Ramadan has immense virtue and its reward is multiplied. In Ramadan, good deeds are multiplied, and it is recommended to frequently recite the Quran, engage in ذكر (remembrance of God), and give charity. Imam Malik used to leave the people of hadith in Ramadan and turn to reciting the Quran, and Imam Al-Shafi'i used to complete sixty recitations (khatma) during it. As for the khatma that was completed before Ramadan, it has its reward, but its reward does not reach the reward of recitation in Ramadan.
