Is the prayer of one who performs ablution and wipes over his socks valid, when he was not in a state of ablution before putting them on?

For the validity of wiping over leather slippers (khuffayn) or socks (jawrabayn), it is a condition that they be worn while in a state of ritual purity (tahara). If this condition is not met, wiping over them is invalid. In this case, the person performing ablution (mutawaddi') must remove them and wash their feet; otherwise, their prayer will be invalid, because purity is a condition for the validity of prayer, and due to the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Leave them, for I put them on while my feet were pure." Therefore, the Fajr prayer that was performed without purity must be made up.
