How will people and animals appear at the Resurrection, and will they be resurrected with clothes or not?
Allah named the Day of Resurrection the "Day of Gathering" because on it, all creatures—humans, jinn, and animals—will be gathered. Animals will be resurrected, some will be avenged against others, and then they will turn to dust. Human beings will be resurrected barefoot, naked, and uncircumcised, and the matter will be too grave for them to be concerned with each other. There are different opinions regarding the resurrection of the deceased in their clothes: either they will decay after rising, or the prophets and the truthful will be clothed first, or it applies specifically to martyrs, or that "clothes" metaphorically refers to good deeds. Every servant will be resurrected according to the deed upon which they died. People will be gathered on a white, reddish-white land, where there is no distinguishing mark for anyone.
