If the wife seeks a divorce without a valid reason or due to incitement from her family, the husband may refuse to divorce her until she relinquishes some of her rights. The husband's statement to his wife, "If you wish to divorce yourself, then do so," is a delegation of the divorce to her, but this delegation becomes void if he retracts it.
