The answer

It is not permissible for a husband to beat or abuse his wife, as this contradicts Allah's command to treat one's spouse with kindness and righteousness. Even if the wife erred by raising her voice and leaving without her husband's permission, such issues should have been addressed wisely and in accordance with Islamic law. The husband did well by seeking reconciliation, and the wife and her family should have accepted the apology, as it is a characteristic of noble people to accept apologies. Divorce has negative consequences, especially with the presence of children. Therefore, one should strive diligently for reconciliation, not despair, seek Allah's help, have a good opinion of Him, and seek assistance from those close to the wife to persuade them. As for the rights of a divorced woman, they are detailed in Fatwa no. 91820.
