The Sunnah is a source of legislation and an expounder and clarifier of the Qur'an. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, urged adherence to it, especially during times of tribulation. Adherence to it is a sign of complete love for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and a cause for salvation and protection from misguidance. Acting upon it is a means for the forgiveness of sins and the love of Allah.
