What is the ruling regarding a wife who travels for leisure outside her country of residence with her husband and children without his consent, and she is accompanied by her family? And is she considered disobedient (nashiz) or divorced?

A wife's departure from her husband's home without his permission, or her travel for non-essential reasons, is not permissible. This constitutes nushuz (disobedience/rebellion), which forfeits her right to maintenance, except in cases of necessity, such as seeking her rights from a judge, or earning maintenance if the husband is unable to provide it, or seeking a religious ruling if the husband is not learned in fiqh and has not sought one for her. Her going out or traveling for recreation without her husband's permission is nushuz and a sin, but it does not cause divorce. The husband must, in such cases, employ the means of reforming a disobedient wife.
