The answer

A wife is considered rebellious (nashiz) if she leaves the marital home and travels without her husband's permission, or if she refuses intimacy without a valid excuse. The husband must admonish her and remind her of his rights and her obligation to obey him in what is good. He should inform her that her obedience to him takes precedence over her obedience to her parents, that she must reside with him wherever he resides, that she should not refuse to travel with him, and that she should not leave his home except with his permission. He should warn her of the consequences of rebellion, such as the forfeiture of her maintenance and her disobedience to her Lord. If she repents and rectifies her behavior, then that is good and excellent. However, if she persists, then rational people should intervene to reconcile them or to agree upon a divorce.
