Is it permissible for a woman to accept invitations to weddings, engagements, graduation parties, birthday parties, or marriage celebrations, if these occasions involve intermingling, music, ostentatious display (tabarruj), and dancing? And what should she do if she fears people's displeasure for not attending?

It is not permissible to attend parties that include unlawful acts, such as forbidden mixing, singing, dancing, and musical instruments. The displeasure of people does not justify disobeying Allah, and their satisfaction is of no benefit if one incurs the wrath of their Lord, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever pleases Allah by the displeasure of people, Allah will suffice him against people. And whoever displeases Allah by the pleasure of people, Allah will entrust him to people." In addition, celebrating birthdays and marriages is fundamentally impermissible.
