What is the ruling on performing ghusl (ritual bathing) after sexual defilement (janabah) without performing wudu (ablution), and to what extent are the fast and prayer valid after this ghusl?

The ritual bath (ghusl) for major impurity (janabah) is sufficient if the Muslim covers their entire body with water with the intention of removing the impurity, even if they do not perform ablution (wudu'). Ablution is recommended but not a condition for the validity of the ghusl. This ghusl is sufficient in place of ablution, and prayer is valid immediately thereafter, unless something that nullifies ablution occurs during the ghusl. As for fasting, it is unrelated to ghusl for janabah, and it remains valid even if the person in a state of janabah has not performed ghusl.
