The answer

The decision of birth control by the spouses does not change what Allah has decreed in eternity, because destiny encompasses events, their causes, and their details. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked about coitus interruptus (azl) and he said: "Not every drop of water results in a child. If Allah wills to create something, nothing can prevent it."

There is no harm in birth control if it is temporary and for a valid reason, such as preventing a definite harm or for legitimate or health reasons approved by a trustworthy Muslim doctor.
