What is the ruling on congregational prayer behind the regular Imam appointed by the Awqaf [Endowments Ministry], who is absent from the prayer and the muezzin deputizes for him, and is that prayer valid or not?

The prayer of the congregants is valid, and there is no disliking in their following this Imam as long as they do not criticize him for his religiosity.
