ما هو الإعجاب بالنفس المذموم وهل هو محرم؟

The blameworthy self-admiration (ʿujb) is the magnification of a blessing while forgetting that it is from Allah. This is forbidden, and one must strive against their soul to abandon it. As for rejoicing in Allah's blessings and grace, and feeling the greatness of His favors and benevolence, that is praiseworthy.
