What is the authenticity of the Imam's statement that a good disbeliever will be rewarded for his good deeds by having his torment lightened in Hell, and what are the evidences from hadiths and verses that confirm this?

One who dies as a disbeliever will not have his good deeds accepted in the Hereafter, nor will his punishment be lightened because of them. A disbeliever is recompensed for his good deeds in this world with provision, victory, or the warding off of calamities. As for the believer, the reward for his deeds is stored for him in the Hereafter, and he may also be recompensed for them in this world. And Allah does not wrong anyone regarding a good deed.
