Is attending to worldly matters that conflict with the congregational prayer time in the mosque considered a valid excuse for missing it, given the possibility of performing it in congregation outside the mosque?

Congregational prayer is obligatory according to the majority of scholars. It is valid in any location, and whoever misses the congregational prayer in the mosque but prays it in congregation elsewhere has fulfilled the obligation. If a Muslim is unable to pray in congregation due to fear of harm, such as missing their turn at the hospital or work, they are permitted to forgo it, as they are excused. Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen excused those who feared missing their turn from congregational prayer, just as the presence of food is among the permissible excuses for missing congregational prayer.
