Is it permissible to eat from the charity food that mourners bring to the deceased's home immediately after their death?

Preparing food for the deceased's family is commendable. However, offering food to mourners and their gathering at the house of mourning is an innovated practice (bid'ah), akin to wailing and exaggerating the calamity, even if the food comes from the mourners' own money. The four Imams have agreed on the undesirability of people gathering for a meal at the deceased's house, except for guests. A Muslim should not participate in it or eat from it, following the example of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the righteous predecessors, and opposing customs that contradict his (Allah's) law.
