Is it permissible for a woman to pray the funeral prayer in her home, while the mosque is adjacent?

The validity of praying at home while following the Imam in the mosque is a matter of scholarly disagreement. Some scholars hold that it is invalid, citing the Hadith of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), and the statements of Imam Al-Nawawi and Imam Ahmad. On the other hand, Imam Malik affirmed its validity except for the Friday prayer, while Imam Abu Hanifa affirmed its validity absolutely.
