Is it permissible to organize a competition with public voting for a financial prize, and is it permissible to invite relatives to vote, and is it permissible to take the money upon winning it?

Competitions are permissible if they are free and involve something permissible and beneficial. It is also permissible to invite relatives to vote after they have reviewed the works and judged them truthfully. However, if the competition involves matters that violate Islamic law or are trivial, then it is not permissible.

Voting for someone without knowing their work is considered a lie and an endorsement without right. Spending money or prizes on that which is not beneficial in religious or worldly matters is prohibited.
