What is the best way to study the four schools of thought (madhahib): by studying books of comparative fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) or by studying one book from each school?

Studying the different schools of thought (madhahib) involves reading the books of each madhhab itself. After mastering a particular madhhab and then moving to another, the student will be able to ascertain the points of agreement and disagreement between them. Books on comparative fiqh are useful for understanding the various opinions of the madhahib.
