Progress in studying texts from the simpler to the more complex. 4. Study under a shaykh who has mastered fiqh; relying on oneself or on forums is not sufficient. 5. Combine memorization and comprehension. Start with memorization while taking notes from your shaykh. 6. Teach what you have learned to solidify the information.
