Is having three children considered to fulfill the principle of procreation, which is Islamically required, given that the number exceeds that of the parents?

Increasing progeny is an Islamic objective encouraged by Islam to preserve the continuity of the human race and to cultivate the earth, so that Muslims may be the most numerous nation on the Day of Resurrection, and so that a Muslim may benefit from the supplication of his child after his death. If a family has three children, it has fulfilled the principle of reproduction, and having more children is better and yields greater reward.
