Is it permissible for a man to beat his wife in this heinous manner that causes her all these injuries and pains, and is it permissible to strike her on the face? And is it permissible for a woman to lie to her family to avert harm? What is the Islamic legal position regarding a husband who beats his wife in this manner and is remiss in prayer, and is it permissible for the wife to treat him harshly if she is repelled by him due to his actions? And is she sinful if she does not wake him for Fajr prayer, knowing that he wakes up for work without her needing to wake him?

The husband committed many Shariah violations, including: 1. Not treating his wife kindly. 2. Committing the sin of injustice by beating his wife without justification. 3. Severe beating and exceeding the limits in hitting. 4. Hitting the face. 5. Causing poor upbringing of children due to their witnessing violence. 6. Not following the gradual disciplinary steps of admonition and avoidance before resorting to hitting.

As for his gravest sin, it is intentionally delaying Fajr prayer beyond its prescribed time. Some scholars consider the perpetrator of this act to be an apostate, while others view it as a major sin. Furthermore, Fajr prayer performed after its time has expired is not accepted.

It is impermissible for a man to address his mahram relatives with affectionate phrases reserved for his wife, to prevent temptation.

We advise the wife to be patient and kind to her husband, to forgive him, to strive to maintain harmony and love, to help him adhere to religious obligations and perform prayers on time, and to resort to Shariah in all matters that arise between them.
