The question

Is it permissible to boycott relatives (such as maternal uncles, paternal uncles, maternal aunts, and paternal aunts) if they are sorcerers and harm their children with magic, and their harm cannot be avoided except by boycotting them, and in application of the verse: "You will not find a people who believe in Allah and the Last Day loving those who oppose Allah and His Messenger, even if they were their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their kindred?"

The answer

It is permissible to shun sorcerers if there is a fear of harm from them or of being influenced by their falsehood. However, if there is no fear from them and they are relatives, it is permissible to maintain contact with them, especially if it is possible to advise them and urge them to repent. Scholars have unanimously agreed on the permissibility of shunning for more than three days anyone whose communication leads to a deficiency in religion or harm to oneself or one's worldly affairs. It should be noted that it is not permissible to accuse anyone of sorcery without clear evidence.
