What is the ruling regarding a son whose family resorts to sorcery in the home, yet he is displeased with it?

Seeking out sorcerers and dealing with them is strictly forbidden. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, strongly warned against it, saying: "He is not one of us who practices sorcery or has sorcery practiced for him." And whoever comes to a sorcerer and believes him has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad. Scholars have discussed the disbelief of one who comes to sorcerers and asks them to perform sorcery. Whoever believes that the sorcerer knows the unseen, this is major disbelief, and similarly, obeying them in drawing near to the jinn through sacrifice or other means. As for one who does not believe in their knowledge of the unseen, scholars have differed regarding this. If there is someone in the house who deals with sorcerers, and one is not pleased with their action, there is no blame upon him, and he must strive to prevent them from this act and forbid it according to his ability. For whoever dislikes a sin is acquitted, and whoever denounces it is safe, but whoever is pleased and follows along sins. This is because being pleased with sins is among the most heinous forbidden acts, and by it, one forfeits the obligation of denouncing the sin with the heart, which is a duty upon every Muslim.
