Is it permissible for a Muslim to participate in Holy Qur’an competitions and receive money from them for a religious purpose or for general living, and is it considered unlawful to take money for teaching the Qur’an?

It is permissible to receive and benefit from prizes in Quranic competitions. It is also permissible for a Quranic memorization teacher to receive payment for their teaching, as indicated by the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "The most deserving thing for which you take a wage is the Book of Allah."
