Is it permissible to enter a Quran memorization competition?

Your love for the Quran is a good sign, so supplicate to Allah to make you steadfast in it and to make you among those who are devoted to it, for Allah the Almighty says: "Indeed, those who recite the Book of Allah and establish prayer and spend [in His cause] out of what We have provided them, secretly and publicly, hope for a transaction that will never perish That He may give them their rewards in full and increase them from His bounty. Indeed, He is Forgiving and Appreciative." As for participating in Quran competitions, it is permissible.
