Is it permissible to delay the Sa'y of Hajj until after Tawaf Al-Ifadah on the following day, knowing that the following day was the first of Muharram?

There is no ultimate deadline for the time of Tawaf Al-Ifadah and Sa'i, but scholars differ on the obligation of a sacrifice (dam) for delaying them:

1. Tawaf Al-Ifadah: Malikis: Mandate a sacrifice if it is delayed beyond Dhul-Hijjah. Hanafis: Mandate a sacrifice if it is delayed beyond the Days of Sacrifice (Ayyam An-Nahr). Shafi'is and Hanbalis: Do not mandate anything for its delay. Conclusion: If you perform it on the last day of Dhul-Hijjah, there is nothing upon you according to the majority of scholars.

2. Sa'i: Hanafis: Mandate a sacrifice if one returns to their country and delays the Sa'i. However, if one remains in Makkah and delays it, there is nothing upon them. Malikis: Mandate a sacrifice if it is delayed beyond Dhul-Hijjah. Shafi'is and Hanbalis: Do not mandate anything for its delay.

3. Separation between Tawaf and Sa'i: The Majority (Shafi'is and Hanbalis): Consecutive performance between Tawaf and Sa'i is a Sunnah, and the time interval between them does not harm; your Sa'i is valid, and there is nothing upon you. Malikis: Mandate immediate succession between them, and if you separate them, you are required to repeat the Tawaf and Sa'i, and offer one sacrifice if you repeat them in Muharram. Conclusion: The view of the majority is the closest, and there is nothing upon you for delaying the Sa'i until Muharram or for a long separation between it and the Tawaf.
