Is the eldest son required to make up for his deceased mother's missed Ramadan fasts?

If a woman dies immediately after fasting eleven days, then there is nothing incumbent upon her.

However, if she broke her fast due to illness, the situation is one of two cases: If the illness was curable, and she broke her fast intending to make up the days after recovery, then death overtook her, nothing is incumbent upon her. If the illness was incurable, and she broke her fast, then death overtook her, then it is obligatory to pay an expiation (kaffarah) from her wealth by feeding one poor person for each day. The amount is 750 grams of wheat or rice or similar grains, and there is no make-up (qada’) incumbent upon her.
