Is it permissible for a woman whose husband has passed away to leave her house during the iddah (waiting period) for recreation or work?

The woman whose husband has died must remain in the marital home and not go out at night except for necessity. The egress of the woman in 'iddah after sunset for what was mentioned in the question is not permissible, such as changing the atmosphere or performing the 'Isha prayer in the mosque, as these are not necessities that permit going out at night. As for her going out for work, there is no harm in it if she keeps away from men and avoids adornment and causes of temptation, based on the hadith of Jabir regarding the divorced woman: "Rather, harvest your date palms, for you might give charity or do good."
