Is removing excess eyebrow hair—without removing all of the eyebrow hair, but rather sufficing with shaping—forbidden?

We issue a fatwa that it is not permissible to take anything from the eyebrows except out of necessity, such as removing a defect or an unusual disfigurement. However, some scholars permit taking from the eyebrows without necessity. There is no blame upon you for acting upon the opinion of those who deem it permissible, for the one seeking a fatwa is allowed to choose in matters of disagreement, as long as it does not reach the extent of seeking out concessions.
