If a young man and woman get married through magic, with all the pillars and conditions of a legitimate contract being met, is the contract considered void and a شبهة زنا (suspicion of unlawful sexual intercourse)? And is this marriage considered void because the girl married someone who committed an act of disbelief by going to a sorcerer and believing him, knowing that a Muslim woman is not permitted to marry a disbeliever?

The guardian should not reject a suitor who is committed to Islamic law merely because of a difference in nationality. The girl may try to convince her father or refer the matter to the Sharia judge to arrange her marriage if her guardian unjustly refuses. It is forbidden to resort to sorcerers for marriage or any other purpose, as approaching them is a grave evil. If a marriage is performed through sorcery and fulfills the conditions, it is valid despite the great sin. Not everyone who practices sorcery or approaches sorcerers becomes an infidel, as apostasy has its own regulations.
