What is the religious ruling on removing the ihram after intending to perform Umrah from home, without going to the miqat, due to the lack of sufficient funds to complete it?

The fundamental principle is that whoever enters into a state of ihram for a ritual is not permitted to exit from it except after completing it, or if they are prevented from completing it due to being muhsar (obstructed). Therefore, it was not permissible for you to exit your state of ihram since you were not muhsar. It is obligatory for you to return to your ihram garments and go to Mecca to perform your Umrah, as you are still in a state of ihram. As for the prohibitions of ihram that you committed during that period, there is no penalty upon you due to your ignorance, except for those acts that involved destruction, such as cutting hair or clipping nails. For these, there is a fidyah (expiation): fasting for three days, or feeding six poor persons, or sacrificing a sheep. If you are unable to come to Mecca and perform the Umrah, then your ruling is that of a muhsar, so you may exit ihram by sacrificing a hady (sacrificial animal) wherever you are. If you are unable to do that, then fast for ten days.
