What is the ruling on subscribing to home sports channels to avoid frequenting coffee shops?

Young people must realize the value of time and utilize it in serious matters such as seeking knowledge or working, and stay away from watching meaningless games, as they are a waste of time and lead to sorrow and regret, and may even lead to watching forbidden things. A Muslim should ask himself about the benefit of watching these games, and whether they are goals that a wise person would pursue, for the pleasure fades, and only the wasted time remains. One must also beware of bad company that wastes time and neglects the remembrance of Allah, and of the steps of Satan which begin small and then gradually lead the servant to watching forbidden things.
