The wife must fulfill the condition of residing in the house of the husband's mother as agreed upon during the marriage contract, unless there is harm. It is not a condition for the stipulations to be written down for them to be binding. If the wife refuses to fulfill this condition, or leaves the marital home without her husband's permission, she is considered disobedient (nashiz), and her right to financial support (nafaqah) falls, while the financial support for the two young children remains. It is not advisable to rush into divorce, and wise individuals should intervene to reconcile. The matter can be raised to the Sharia court if necessary. Furthermore, a woman is not permitted to dispose of her husband's money except with his permission. The wife's family should intervene for reconciliation, not to complicate matters, and the wife must reside wherever her husband resides.
