Am I required to make up the current missed prayer if I am busy making up a full year's worth of missed prayers?

Scholars have differed regarding the obligation of observing order (tartib) between missed prayers, or between them and the current prayer. The Hanbalis hold that it is absolutely obligatory. Thus, the oldest missed prayer must be performed first, and the current prayer should not be prayed unless there is a fear of its time expiring. However, if one forgets the order, the obligation is dropped. The view that order is not obligatory is more lenient, permitting one to make up missed prayers however it happens, and to pray the current prayer before making up any missed prayers.
