Is it permissible for a wife to remove her contraceptive without her husband's knowledge in order to have a second child, given the husband's excessive spending on himself and his potential refusal to have more children due to financial burdens?

Among the purposes of marriage is procreation, and the Shari'ah has encouraged having many children. Therefore, it is not permissible to delay childbearing for fear of inability to provide, because sustenance is in the hand of Allah. Procreation is a shared right between spouses; it is not permissible for the husband to prevent his wife from conceiving, or to practice coitus interruptus (azl) without her permission. And the wife may remove a contraceptive device without his knowledge. It is preferable for the spouses to consult and come to an understanding regarding procreation and to dispel the illusion of sustenance (i.e., that they are solely responsible for it), in order to avoid disagreements.
