The answer

If what you experience is a result of being affected by the warnings of the Quran, then this is the state of the people of خشية (awe/fear of God) whose hearts soften upon hearing the Quran. You must be sincere and avoid showing off (riyaa'), and be wary of Satan. Do not suppress what you feel as long as you do not deviate from obedience to Allah. Allah has described the believers as experiencing fear and apprehension (وجل) when He is mentioned, and that when Allah is mentioned, their hearts become fearful, and His verses increase them in faith. This is the state of those who know Allah, fearing His might and punishment, and it is not like the shouting and fainting spells of the people of innovation (bid'ah).
