To what extent is the recommendation valid to recite Surat Al-Fatihah, Al-Humazah, and Al-Insan, and to repeat the verse "So Allah protected them from the evil of that Day and gave them radiance and happiness" (76:11) 100 times in the months of Muharram and Safar to protect the household members from sudden death?

Reciting the Qur’an and supplicating are two important matters with great virtues, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, left us on a clear path regarding them. It is not permissible for anyone to invent new invocations (adhkar) or virtues for verses and surahs, as this is an innovation (bid'ah) in religion. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever introduces into this matter of ours that which is not from it will have it rejected." It is obligatory to adhere to the Sunnah of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and the Sunnah of the Rightly Guided Caliphs, and to beware of innovations. Indeed, Allah Almighty has enriched us with His Sharia and the Sunnah of His Prophet, so there remains nothing that brings one closer to Paradise and further from Hellfire except that it has been made clear to us.
