If the parents did not perform Sa'y after assuming ihram, whether performing Hajj mutamatti' (tamattu'), qarin (), or mufrid (), they are still in their state of ihram. If they are unable to travel, they can exit the state of ihram by sacrificing a hady (sacrificial animal), or by fasting ten days if they are unable to provide the hady. If they intentionally committed prohibitions of ihram before shaving or shortening their hair, they are required to offer (expiation).
