Is the saying: "The most incapable of people is he who is incapable of supplicating, and the most miserly of people is he who is miserly with سلام (greetings of peace)," an authentic hadith?

The report stating that "The most miserly of people is he who is stingy with the greeting of peace, and the most incapable of people is he who is incapable of supplication (du'a)" was narrated as a mawquf tradition from Abu Hurayrah and authenticated by a number of scholars, such as Al-Haythami, Ibn Hajar, and Al-Daraqutni. It was also narrated as a marfu' tradition (attributed to the Prophet, peace be upon him) from the hadith of Abu Hurayrah and others, but its marfu' narrations are weak due to the presence of weak or denounced narrators in the chain. The more accurate conclusion is that the report is sound as a mawquf tradition from Abu Hurayrah and not sound as a marfu' attribution to the Prophet, peace be upon him.
