There is no harm in you playing with animated pictures, for what is forbidden is photography, not viewing or playing. The forbidden pictures are those of living beings if they are sculpted or drawn on a fixed object. Digital pictures are excluded from this prohibition. Photography was forbidden because it imitates Allah’s creation. You should utilize your time in memorizing the Quran, seeking knowledge, and performing righteous deeds, for leisure is a blessing about which a servant will be questioned on the Day of Judgment.
