Is it obligatory to go back and reread what the reciter inadvertently omitted in the Holy Qur’an?

If a Muslim recites the Qur'an and his lips and tongue move, but his mind wanders from the meaning of what he is reciting, he still earns the reward for recitation. He is not obliged to restart the reading, nor does it interrupt its continuity, whether this occurs during prayer or outside of it. However, it is better for him to repeat the recitation with presence of heart to gain the reward for contemplation. But if he inadvertently omits uttering some verses or makes a mistake in reciting them, this interrupts the continuity of the verses, and he does not receive the reward for what he left out until he returns and recites it correctly.
