Embracing Islam is easy, by uttering the two testimonies of faith (Shahadatayn) with sincere intention for Allah, followed by adherence to the rituals of Islam. If a woman converts to Islam, her marriage to her disbelieving husband becomes void, and she must observe the waiting period ('iddah (definition)). If her husband converts to Islam during her 'iddah, they remain married under the original contract. Otherwise, she is permitted to marry a Muslim man after her 'iddah has expired. She is not obligated to pay any money to her disbelieving husband, and she may use stratagem to escape his demands. It is advisable to encourage her towards Islam and explain its virtues and the falsehoods of Christianity to convince her, while also cautioning against the impermissibility of a love relationship between a Muslim man and a non-mahram (definition) woman.
